This series of bead and fabric jewelry was started early in 2009, featuring a combination of Hoffman batiks (our families are not related!), our own bead mixes and button form findings to produce a beaded jewelry pin (bail finding allows conversion to a pendant). Select a sweet spot that appeals on an eight-inch square fabric, baste down the circle template and bead embroider inside the 2-inch window. Following the lines of the batik as the design, make an individual choice of whether the beadwork is simple or lushly covered ... kit includes a selection of Bead Gravy mixes and the small bead mix from the Bead Soup Starter line. Cut the circle around the template and cover a button form for a clean open edge to add beaded edging with dangles. Thanks to the variability of batiks, each pin is an ORIGINAL as no two pins are likely to be the same!
